"We have a history-making opportunity. We were fortunate enough to have people with foresight who created this amazing parks system... Now it's our turn, and our obligation, to set it up for those who come after us."
--Rich Brown, Chair, Portland Parks Foundation
Portland's parks are extensive and renowned because of a long history of private and public support. Since the first land was donated for parks in 1852, Portland families--the Chapmans, the Terwilligers, the Skidmores, the Macleays--have played a major role in building an extensive parks system that now covers over 10,000 acres.
Creating a legacy for the future by including Portland Parks Foundation in your will helps to ensure that the parks you know and love will be there for generations to come. Our donors say it best. Visit our Giving Stories page to read more.
